Hey again folks,

Haven’t been on here in awhile but unfortunately I did not win the title of Miss Teen Canada World 2011. But I can honestly say I had the time of my life. And will never forget that. Ive met 73 other beautiful girls from all over this beautiful country that we live in; Canada! I got to experience things that a small town girl like me never dreamed. Now I know I can dream the impossible.

Even though its been a few months, I remember it as if it was yesterday. I’ll fill you in on what we did.

Billy Elliot Musical With Jen Tessier

With Dillon J Stevens "Billy's" Best Friend in the Musical

Tuesday, July 12th, all the contestants headed of to Frankie Tomatto’s where we had all you can eat Italian food. Let me just tell you, it was delicious. With our tummies full, we then headed of to the Billy Elliot Musical. Man! was it ever good! Ive never seen so much talent in such a young boy before. It was amazing how an 11 year old boy carried an entire play. Unbelievable. If you ever get the chance to see it, do it! Right after we got to met the actors. Not only were they talented they were also little heartthrobs in the making.

At Stylexchange

Wednesday, July 13th, 74 girls filled 2 buses and headed on on a major shopping spree 50% off at Stylexchange. Here’s a interview of former Miss Teen Canada at Stylexchange: Miss Teen Canada World 2010

Thursday, July 14th, was a very long day that was very demanding and stressful. We had to get our hair and makeup done for preliminaries that night. If you wanted to make top 20, this night depended on it.

Kevin Frankish- Old Fashion Finger Point, Shake and Smile

Friday, July 15th, we woke up at the crack of dawn. Got our bums out of bed. And headed to Breakfast Television. Kevin and Dina, are absolutely hilarious. I never thought I would see Kevin Frankish in front of me. I remember watching him on my tv screen wearing his old suspenders. Later on we got the opportunity to take pictures with them. And while all the girls were doing the professional posing and what- not. Me, being the daughter of Gerry Dubeau had to do something different. So I took his hand and did the old fashion finger point, shake and smile. Late that night we had the talent portion were 2 girls would later be chosen to do their talent on stage the night of the finale.

Saturday, was a fun filled day of rehearsal, rehearsal and would you guess it? Rehearsal.

Sunday, the day we all waited for. The most stressful day of the week had arrived. We did non  stop practices, hair and makeup. Here’s what the show time line up looked like:

Hey All

Practicing. 1,2,3,4

Practicing. 1,2,3,4

Today with the Miss Teens we have been working ourselves to the bone. We have been dancing in our heels since 8:30 am. But with Shawn Cuffie as our choreographer we got the job done.

Frankie Tomattos

At noon, we then headed to an Italian all you can eat restaurant Frankie Tomatto`s. I can honestly say that we pageant queens were a little hungry. Some of us went from seconds, thirds and for are chaperon Darren fourths.  After stuffing our faces with different foods we then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Billy Elliot Musical.

Picture with Billy Elliot Cast

Dancing, singing and cute boys OH MY! This musical had it all. The performance fromJullian Elia (aka Billy) was incredible. This 12 year old Markham boy can do it all. Trained in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary.  Not to mention his co-star Dillion Stevens who is now my best friend and boy friend. This boy is probably the biggest ladies man and know how to work it. This  13 years old boy from North Carolina specializes in Tap and Hip Hop. His character, Michael, was entertaining and a superb dancer. After the show we got to have a one on one with Jullian, Dillon and Jake. We had asked plenty of questions and got the opportunity take a few pictures.

After a long day on our feet it was time to head back to the hotel to have supper and get some rest.

Thats it for now,

Love always,

Good evening everyone,

This will be a really short blog entry due to the fact that I am exhausted from such an eventful yet incredible day. Honestly I cant remember the last time I had this much fun.

Hippo TourThis morning my day started bright and early at 6am. From there I got ready to go on a hippo bus tour. Our buses name was Henry. As we went on the hippo tour which might I add is the hippest bus in town, we were followed by the etalk daily crew. Not only that but everywhere we went there were paparazzi, fans taking pictures with us. I have never felt so famous in my life.

Me with the CN Tower

Me at the CN tower

Afterwards we were dropped off at the cn tower. Man, did I feel small.

I forgot to mention that Miss Teen USA Worlds, Miss Teen USA intercontinental and Miss Teen Worlds 2010!!!!

Bowling at Ballroom Bowl and Bar

Bowling at Ballroom Bowl and Bar

All of us beauties then left bowling at the ballroom bowl bar. There we played a mini game of bowling and had grilled cheese.

After a busy day out in town we then came back to the hotel

Me and my beauties at the Greek restaurant

to practice our pageant walks then headed out to a Greek restaurant. Ive never experienced Greek food however I absolutely loved it. Dont ask me what I had because I could not pronounce it.

After a long day of touring the town, being interviewed and having the camera lights all around you, I realized that I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. I love theses girls, I love Michelle, Chris, Anthony, Maram, Rob, Darren, Ryan & the rest of the crew, I love the long days and nights. If you ever get the chance to experience something like this I highly suggest you try it.

Anyways I have to hit the hay, I will be up at 7am and wont be in our rooms till 1am Wednesday morning.

Love you all,

Hey folks,

The Girls

Wow, you would not believe how many pretty girls are here. They are all beautiful inside and out and I love how I get to share the experience with them. Although I cant remember all their names, im still working on that part. Today, you would not believe how busy we have been. Michelle W. had us up and ready by 8:30. Do you want to know what time I went to bed at, 1:30am. And for those who are wondering its not because I was up all night talking it was because we had a very late supper. We were  then placed with a roommate and escorted to our rooms.

Last Night

Me and my roomie for the week. Jewell Gibson, British- Columbia

Last night, I was placed with a young lady of 17 years old from British Columbia named Jewell Gibson. As we sat in our pj’s on the couch eating our many boxes of food we took from pizza to macaroni, we found many similarities. For starters we both dont eat the crust of the pizza. What really sold me was that she still watches Family Channel and listens to Disney music. From then on we have been inseparable.

And were off!

After showering and getting dressed this morning, Michelle W. had asked us to not do our hair and makeup since we have people willing to do it. After eating a full meal with leftover pizza, bagels, eggo’s, juice and an apple. The girls and I headed down into hair and makeup. Of coarse after eating I walked to the basement in style. While all the other girls are wearing their High Heels, I,

Getting my makeup done

Mariah Dubeau walked in my slippers. The girls had a few laughs. We then commenced our beautification. I love being pampered and really enjoyed the hairstylist and makeup artist Kristy. They gave me exactly what I had imagined.

Activities of the day!

After being pampered I then when to take my photo shoot. The photographer and camera seemed to have really loved me.

From there I changed into my interview outfit and headed to my interview. I cant really discuss how it went. But as some of you know I am not shy and talk a lot.

Two flights of stairs later and one very tired pageant girl, I chit chatted with a bunch of girls about the video shoot we were going to be doing in a few minutes. We were all searching for some jokes since that was going to be one of the questions. I heard a new one: How do you wake up lady gaga? Answer: You poker her face.

Interviewing time!!!

From there I changed into my interview outfit and headed to my interview. I cant really discuss how it went. But as some of you know I am not shy and talk a lot.

Eatin' some grub!

At 6pm, it was finally time to eat lunch… Boy, was it good!

Well I have to get ready for the seminar soon.

Wish me luck

«Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. »

Once upon a time that was me. But not today folks. Today I leave my small town of 1,500 people to the big city of Toronto of 5.5 million. Yikes. But with a great town supporting me, family and friends I know I’ll do fine, although I will miss them terribly.

History time:

John Millar and his two brothers immigrated to Canada from Dundee, Scotland in the early 1800s. John had bought a piece of land here in 1830 and 1832 and dammed Alder Creek to create a mill pond for his sawmill. A village grew next to the mill-pond which he named New Dundee, meaning “in the hollow by the water”. In 1846 John sold a portion of his property to his brother, Frederick, who later laid out the original plan for the village and became its first postmaster. Today, the mill pond – known as Alder Lake – remains a focal and recreational point of life in New Dundee.

What is in New Dundee

You would be surprised what there is to do in this small town. For starters we can go fishing and canoeing in the summertime and skating in the winter on Alder Lake. You can go shopping at the local Village Market or even the New Dundee Emporium and for those who are legal we just opened an LCBO a few years ago.

If you like making pots we have a Pottery and for those you like to get your hair down we have a local hairstylist.

For those who are bored we have a Video store and a Library. If you’re hungry you can go to the Video store for some ice cream and popcorn, to the bakery and pizzeria where you can buy delicious pastries and you guessed it pizza.

Or you can go to my favourite place the Dundee Diner, where you will receive great food and service. Everybody loves the owner Kosta his son Louis who might look intimidating but is a teddy bear and his beautiful, friendly, energetic and my good friend Maggie. (Honestly everybody loves this girl and this place.)

To me New Dundee is one of the greatest places I know. The food, the places, the people are just great. I will have lived in New Dundee for 12 years come august. You grow to love this town of 22 streets, and love everything that is in it.

New Dundee won’t be the only thing I’ll miss. My besties will be missed. Not just because I’m away from them for a week but because most of them will be leaving the tri-cities to go to university.

I don’t even know with who to begin.

Meet the gang

This girl her name is Jenna Brochu. Just recently she moved to Sault- Saint Marie which is 9 hours away. I miss Jenna terribly. She was and still is one of my closest friends even if she is a year younger than me. I miss how we use to play card games during our spares. If it wasn’t for her I would have probably never talked to most of the 11th graders who I have now become close friends with. Jenna I thank you for your support, helping me out for 4 days straight. You are officially apart of my family and I sorry you had to deal with them for 4 days haha. Good times throwing balloons at my mom and stealing Brookes Ipod to listen to party rock anthem 20 billion times!!! I hope those memories are still with you and good luck on your new adventure.

Alex Olsen, let`s just begin to say this is probably my favourite picture of you. Alex I love you because you are not afraid of being different. I love that your loud, opinionated, intelligent and kind. I love how you have always been there when I needed you and I can’t wait to have another sleepover with you and Mac. I still really hope that Kimmy and Brooke will become bffs because then it will just give me a reason to visit you. I hope that you`ll get the experience you are looking for at Charlton University. I hope you meet people just like you. People that never judge you even if you sound silly at times. Love ya girly.

Oh Stephanie Caron, I’m glad you’re not leaving. I need at least one friend to be my partner in crime. Steph you are one of the strongest people I know and I love how no what I can count on you matter. The only thing I regret is never meeting your father. If I had that chance I would tell him that he raised a beautiful person that I am proud to call one of my close friends. I know that no matter what you will be honest with me. And I can honestly say I haven’t had a piece of Juicy Fruit gum since that little incident we had. Haha.

Karen Lailvaux (right), you are the second strongest person I have ever met. You have always been on the same boat as me. From when we forgot to do our math homework or even with our personal relationships.  You are funny, smart and your one of those people everybody wants to be friends with. And I am glad I get to call you that.

Erica Bursey (left), where do I even begin with you? I love how you are always having new drama or gossip to tell me. I love how when I have something to tell you I can trust that you won’t tell anyone. You are one of a kind. I like that you are friends with everybody and how kind-hearted you are. I also really enjoyed our movie/ouiji board night and I think we should do it again soon. Love ya girly.

Erin Niewinski, can you believe that almost a year ago we didn’t like each other? I miss those days… Just kidding. Your one of the only kids from New Dundee that I actually like. I loved our shopping day and can’t wait to have many more. Know that I have your back no matter what happened in the future. You’re a hilarious person and I love partying with you. Let us not forget Grand Bend… Good times.

Cassie Bertram (left)… Harry Potter- nuff said.

Sweet Caroline (right).. BA BA BAAA!!!! I absolutely love you and I can honestly say that you have absolutely no enemies. Everybody loves you and how could they not.

Alex Lennox (right), I know we haven’t been friends for too long. But honestly girl I love it every moment when we are together. I have nothing bad to say about you. And I rave about you too all of my friends… Which you found out at prom. LOL. I love watching people make a fool of themselves and how we just laugh at them. I hope we get to hang out more often this summer and hopefully go camping at the Pinery again. I love how that even though we barely see each other we chat on bbm like we have known each other for years. I’m glad I got the opportunity to meet you. Thanks

Megan Talbot (left), one of my longest friends. We have been together for so long that I will miss you so much when you leave to Ottawa. I love how even though we have separate groups we have still remained friends and always find time for each other. I hope it will be like that once you do leave for University. Because Megan, you are one of those friends I cannot lose.

Renée Kok (right), you have been my best friend now for 15 years. We have been through so much together. From our confirmation to graduation. Not many people have what we do. I can honestly call you my sister. Although we have had our share of ups and downs I know in the end when it comes down to it you have my back. No matter what happens. Love ya sis

Jessie Leblanc, I remember the first day I met you back in grade 8. You were so timid and shy. Then you met me. Now look at what you have become. A MONSTER!!! Just kidding. But you have come out of your shell since the first day I met you. I like it. I’m glad that we got to have our retail therapy the other day it was nice spending the day with you and venting. I love how our lives are the same but different. I love how I can tell you anything and vise versa. Je t`aime.

Camille Bonna- Wood, I love you dearly and wish that you would text me. I miss you. I can’t picture my life without you. I need you now more then I have ever needed you. I’m sorry.

Can’t forget my girl SHAAMWOW… Follow her on Twitter for hilarious tweets and deets on different things.

I hope you all now know a little about each of my girls. I hold these friends very close to my heart. I love each and everyone of you. Good luck in the future.

Don’t forget to comment.

Love always,

A portion of the funds  collected from the winners bets will be donated to the featured charity, also the winner of each episode will win a monetary prize, however if and when Mariah wins she will donate her prize to “the charity of the day” each and every time. If the opponent wins they will have the choice to keep their money, or make a contribution to charity.
